    Description

I believe this is a Model LD or Light Delivery truck manufactured by the International Harvester Company of Chicago Illinois sometime between 1921 and 1923. This truck followed the earlier series that had the sloping nose with the radiator behind the engine. It preceded the later Red Baby delivery truck. Please correct me if I am wrong about any of this information.
PARTS  WANTED  FOR  THIS  TRUCK :
One or more (for a total of five) 20" demountable rims -  I am not yet sure of the make of these rims
Four proper screw on hubcaps - I will get wheel hub thread diameter soon
Complete transmission assembly - from an IH truck with the gas tank in the cowl rather than under the seat
Other lesser parts you might have or know of somewhere that are missing from this vehicle
I have been in the old car, truck and tractor hobby since I was old enough to crawl. I can remember only ever seeing one other International C-Cab truck like this and that was in about 1968. My sister is two years younger than me and was in about the 8th grade when our family drove her to Farmer's Union Camp that summer. I would have been a high school sophomore at that time. We were driving on a gravel road not very far west of Highwood Montana and I can remember seeing a black truck like this setting west of a farm house on the south side of the road. Of course my parents were in such a hurry that we never had a chance to stop and look at that truck. I can still see it pointing north toward the road so that I could see the right side of the very distinctive C-Cab. I wonder what ever happened to that truck? This truck came from about two hundred miles north of where that truck was back then so I doubt this is the same truck that I spotted a bit west of Highwood Montana over a half a century ago.
I listed this "gem in the rough" as being for "Local Pickup Only" to keep this listing simple. I can arrange delivery of it for you for around $ .80 per loaded mile. I have plenty of free and reasonably secure outdoor storage and can store this vehicle for you if you or a friend are planning a trip to beautiful Montana at some time in the future.
I will be adding more information and more and better photos soon. This truck is located at the home ranch 225 miles north of where I normally am located. Thanks a lot, Bob Woodburn in Bozeman Montana USA      4O6-799-1847
