Great parts truck, farm truck, demo derby truck.
This is a 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT Extended Cab Long Bed
5.9 V8 GAS Engine
Automatic transmission
Rear wheel drive
Truck has over 200,000 miles on the actual truck itself. It has about 150,000 on engine and 100 miles if that on the transmission. I used it to move trailers from one side of town to the other which is a 2 mile round trip. It was going to be my beater with a heater but I signed the title and I can not get it registered in the state of Illinois. I bought it from my buddy and he signed the title and I did as well and now it has a title issue. That's why I am selling it for parts. I would like to recoup some of my money after having the transmission rebuilt. Basically your buying the transmission and everything else goes with it.
Truck runs and drives great. It has plenty of power and pulled great. It has plenty of rust and looks like complete s**t. The interior is pretty much junk. The dash is cracked, the headliner was ripped off but the backing material is still there. Rear bumper is rotted off, has a great hitch on it. Fenders are rusted, bed is rusted out bad, really bad but it has a plastic bed liner. Tires are there and hold air. Have all 4 factory chrome wheels and center caps. They are decent. The hood, doors and tailgate are definitely usable. It is a SLT so it has all the options for the year and surprisingly everything works, even the A/C still blows ice cold. It has the factory tow package. The frame is solid as can be. Heavy duty rear leaf springs.

New distributor cap
New distributor rotor
New ignition coil
New thermostat
New coolant
New fan clutch
New radiator
Oil
Oil filter
New outer tie rod ends
New rear, rear leaf spring shackles
New front rotors
New front brake pads
New front brake calipers
The rear brakes were done as well but I don't remember what was replaced when it was done.
There is other stuff I don't remember off hand.
Transmission completely rebuilt from a new torque converter to the rear seal. It was updated as well. Shifts great.
There are plenty of great parts off this truck. And more then enough usable stuff.
This is located in Leland Illinois 60531. This is a local pickup only item. I am not going to ship this truck at all. You are responsible for picking up with your trailer or however you plan on doing it. This is a big truck so a 16' trailer is not going to work. This truck runs and drives so it will drive up on your trailer.
If paid in full truck can sit on my property for 90 days before pickup. Weather is dependent on pickup due to rain or snow. I need at least a 3 day notice before you plan on picking up. I will need to move it out of where it is sitting so pickup will be easier to do and get done.
