Condition on these nuggets is "Natural" and in exactly the same condition they were in, when they were hand picked out of the sluce box, (anything over about a half gram is easier to just hand pick), on the Little Susitna River in July - August 1992, approx 3/4 mile
SW of the Mother Load Lodge, on the Hatcher Pass road, in the Matanuska Valley, Alaska. The equipment we used that summer , (and the summer before, and 2 summers after), was a 2" Gas Pump & Sluce Box mounted on a truck tire inner tube, with a 20' hose, 1 1/2" dia X 6' long steel pry bar and Come-Alongs, (for wrestling/moving river boulders), numerous shovels & picks, 3 Dry Suits with countless patches, several different types of gold pans, buckets and tubs. And the expected regular camping gear for several days & nights. And Roscoe, the best dog ever.
We, (me and Roscoe), got into a really good line of "color" that summer, and we just followed it. Every weekend, we'd take off Friday after work, and come home late Sunday evenings, till it started snowing in that area, (above the tree line on the mountains), about the first week in October. That summer we sucked out just over 7.5 ounces of high grade Alaska Placer Gold.
That winter, January 1993, the local Assay Shop tested that batch by randomly selecting 30 nuggets, from approx a half gram to 6 grams in size, and, tested the purity on each one.
24 of those nuggets tested above 23K.
6 of those nuggets tested under 23K...
4 nuggets tested closer to 22K, but over, and
2 nuggets tested closer to 23K.
So, everything in this batch is being offered at 22K or better.
Each nugget has been weighed, tagged and placed in 1" square Ziploc bags, and then placed in a 3"X 3" Ziploc 4 mil bag. There isn't any documentation, so, please print a hard copy of this auction if you want to maintain any info, or provenance, on these nuggets.

These items will be shipped in bubble wrap via USPS Priority Mail 10" X 5" Envelope with tracking number, within 3 days, (normally next day, Sat morning), of confirmed payment transaction and insured for the actual winning bid amount.
