Ron Koch is the author of the definitive book on vintage Wisconsin decoys as well as several other hunting books. Rons’ decoys are highly sought after due to his gifted carvings. Ron’s coot decoys are probably the most sought after examples of his work to date.
This Mud Hen / Coot is hollow with something added inside to rattle. His head is upright and sits enough behind the breast that only about 1/2 inch protrudes past the breast. Length is 10 inches and he is 5 and 5/8 inches tall. W
