The South Lake Mallard decoy is  mint condition hand carved by the husband and wife team of Jim and Margie Wicks. The intricacies and detail work that was put into this decoy is some of the finest I've seen. It is truly stunning and will make a great addition to any collection.
Marge & Jim Wicks 2001 Curtis Michigan Hand Carved Mallard Decoy Signed Folk Art. Measures approximately 9 1/2" long. It has glass eyes , Forrest James Wick was born in 1932 in Elk Rapids, Michigan. Wicks used a high speed grinder and hand tools to make his decoys and he only used white cedar. Signed with his standard carver mark: JWF combined with the year underneath. Also, signed "Marge & Jim Wicks". Together, they were the resident carvers at South Lake Decoy shop in Curtis, Michigan. Sold as is, as shown, in excellent condition.
