This  cute pair  of vintage   duck  decoys  by the  acclaimed   Lousiana  decoy carver  Joseph "Joe "  Verdin....
one of  the  legendary  Verdin  family of  Carvers,,,,with Joe's  distinctive  lines  and  design,
painted  eyes.
I  just love the  way  the  feather  designs are  in  a  v  shaped,,,,,probably his  way  of  putting  multiple  Vs  letters   for Verdin.....his personal stamp on  his original  carvings......just like many  clothing  and  handbag designers   do  on their  designs.....great  Joe.
