VINTAGE WENDELL SMITH CHICAGO ILLINOIS MALLARD DUCK DECOY OVERSIZED COMB PAINT

Vintage decoy by Wendell Smith of Chicago Illinois.
Purchased as such from auction, this is my first of his simplistic oversized decoys I’ve come across. I’ve heard his oversized decoys were simpler in carving than his regular sized decoys.
This one appears to not have sported a keel or weight.
It is either unused original paint with fine combing on gray of back, or a restored decoy. Sorry I can not tell.
Hollow body but heavy at 3 pounds 11 ounces.
He is 18.25 inches long and 8 inches wide and 7 & 5/8 inches tall.
