    Description

Vtg 1940s Brush McCOY Art Pottery White Easter Spring Lamb Nursery Planter Vase
This wonderful Brush McCoy Pottery Spring Lamb planter was produced in the early 1940s, circa 1944, according to the original owner. It is in very good vintage/antique condition, retaining the off-white glossy glaze characteristic of the pottery line.
This piece was marketed as a nursery planter, but was also used for a lifetime of Easter dinner displays.
It was well-loved by the original owner, but suffered 2 flake chips, one to the right hind hoof toe, and the other small flake to the bottom of the front left hoof toe--can be seen best in the last photo. The lamb measures approximately 5 ½” long, 2 ¼” wide and 6” tall at the head.
Its long life has produced overall crazing to the piece, that doesn’t distract, but instead adds the authenticity to the lamb and its heavy pottery construction, which weighs a pound before packaging.
If you have additional questions, please ask.
Please keep in mind this is vintage and not a new item. I try to describe items as accurately as possible, but cannot always detail each flaw. Crazing and manufacturing flaws such as pin heads, color variations, straw marks, bubbles, inclusions, and other manufacturing anomalies, which are considered normal for glass, china, and pottery of age. Most vintage items are as they came from an estate, so may have water stains inside vases of age, scuff to wood, etc.  For that reason, all items are photographed and described with honest intent. I believe in honest and fair dealings and expect that you do too. Payment is due within 3 days of the Auction’s ending. If you have any question whatsoever about any item, please e-mail me before bidding. I want you to be completely happy with your purchase. I will package your items carefully, the same as I would like them packaged if being sent to me. Also, I do not have any pets or smokers in my home.
